Forever Love
Once upon a time, Taiwan had a Hollywood.
Taiwanese-minnan movies will be popular, if all the Taiwanese filmmakers make Taiwanese films in Taiwan.
During the golden age of Taiwanese-minnan cinema, the Beitou District was nicknamed “Taiwan’s Hollywood”. When grandpa recounts profoundly to Hsiao-Jie that he “was the most famous script writer of the time”, although Hsiao-Jie didn’t believe him but she couldn’t help but wonder about the past. Hsiao-Jie’s grandma is suffering from memory loss and cannot tell the difference between reality and dream. Grandma keeps confusing Hsiao-Jie to be Jin-Yue-Feng, a movie star during the golden age and the partner of famous actor, Wan-Bao-Long. Hsiao-Jie is puzzled by her grandma repeating stories about the old days? As she digs deeper through grandpa’s story, she finds an intricate story of love and dreams in Taiwan’s Hollywood during the golden 60’s.
